Good Student

Today at work our cheif resident Evan came and asked if he could borrow me and show the interns and medical students how to use the ultrasound and what to measure and look for. Of course it was okay but the only stipulation was that if he saw what Pee Wee was he couldn't say anything and couldn't tell anyone. Pee Wee is measuring right on. He is head down and moving like crazy!! In one of the shots Pee Wee looked like he was trying to suck on his thumb it was so cute!! It was fun listening to Evan explain everything to the others. I saw Pee Wee's aorta and other cool things. It was fun. Evan said that Pee Wee was being the perfect baby to show so I will have to tell Pee Wee that he was a perfect student when he was in the womb. Hopefully it will carry on.

I promise to post some pictures. I really am pregnant and definetely look like I am.

What a Week

This has been a very stressful and emotional week. My grandpa went to the ER last Tuesday because and ended up in the ICU because 3 weeks prior he was in a car accident and his arm that was all cut up was getting worse and very infected. They took him into surgery that night and he went into cardiac arrest because the infection had gone through out his body. He was on life support all day Wednesday and I had to say my final goodbye and that I loved him. He was taken off of life support on Thurs morning and died shortly after. It has a been a crazy week. I had know idea that I was going to lose my grandpa. It happened all of a sudden.
He was the best grandpa ever!! He was the most positive person I have ever known. He is always making something positive out of a bad situation. He was a tease. He was always teasing us and always there to help us when we needed it. I am going to miss my grandpa so much!! I had a chance to sit with him on Wed with no one around and I told him to find Pee Wee and meet him and tell him that he has to be an angel for Wade and I since he won't get the chance to meet Pee Wee here when he is born. I was also able to talk to him about funny experiences I have had growing up with him.
At the funeral yesterday there were some navy boys there that did a flag ceremony since my grandpa served in WW2. It was so awesome!! I was already crying but seeing that made it even worse. After the bugle boy was done playing the song and they folded the flag they went over to my grandma got down on one knee and said"On behalf of the President of the United Stated of America ...." then went on thanking my grandma for my grandpa's service in the Navy. It was so cool.
I am so glad that I have a knowledge of the gospel and even though it is sad losing my grandpa I know that I will see him again. I am so grateful that I live in the United States of America. I love the freedom that we have and am so grateful for those that fight so that I can have my freedom. I am going to miss my grandpa and love him with all my heart but I know that he is having his own reunion with his parents and sister.
