What a Week

This has been a very stressful and emotional week. My grandpa went to the ER last Tuesday because and ended up in the ICU because 3 weeks prior he was in a car accident and his arm that was all cut up was getting worse and very infected. They took him into surgery that night and he went into cardiac arrest because the infection had gone through out his body. He was on life support all day Wednesday and I had to say my final goodbye and that I loved him. He was taken off of life support on Thurs morning and died shortly after. It has a been a crazy week. I had know idea that I was going to lose my grandpa. It happened all of a sudden.
He was the best grandpa ever!! He was the most positive person I have ever known. He is always making something positive out of a bad situation. He was a tease. He was always teasing us and always there to help us when we needed it. I am going to miss my grandpa so much!! I had a chance to sit with him on Wed with no one around and I told him to find Pee Wee and meet him and tell him that he has to be an angel for Wade and I since he won't get the chance to meet Pee Wee here when he is born. I was also able to talk to him about funny experiences I have had growing up with him.
At the funeral yesterday there were some navy boys there that did a flag ceremony since my grandpa served in WW2. It was so awesome!! I was already crying but seeing that made it even worse. After the bugle boy was done playing the song and they folded the flag they went over to my grandma got down on one knee and said"On behalf of the President of the United Stated of America ...." then went on thanking my grandma for my grandpa's service in the Navy. It was so cool.
I am so glad that I have a knowledge of the gospel and even though it is sad losing my grandpa I know that I will see him again. I am so grateful that I live in the United States of America. I love the freedom that we have and am so grateful for those that fight so that I can have my freedom. I am going to miss my grandpa and love him with all my heart but I know that he is having his own reunion with his parents and sister.

IT'S A........

We had our real ultrasound last Tuesday that is much better then the one I peak at Pee Wee with on Labor and Delivery and Pee Wee is really cute. It is amazing that something is growing inside of me. It kind of grosses me out a little bit sometimes, but it is truly amazing!! Pee Wee has got all the parts he needs like 2 kidneys, a liver, 2 eyes, no cleft lip things are good. Pee Wee is a ..... surprise still. We told them to avoid the area so we couldn't see and figure it out. Plus Pee Wee had his legs crossed the whole time so he wants to be a surprise too. I got Wade to go and register at Babies R Us. It was fun but challenging. There are not many things that can be either boy or girl, so I went with some things orange, and some green. We'll see what we get. the one thing that I am hating about being pregnant is not being able to get comfortable when trying to sleep!! My sciatic nerve is bothering me and will for the rest of the pregnancy which in my opinion is making it twice as hard to get comfortable at night. During the day it is great being pregnant but at night I tell Wade I hate it! Last night he asked if I was ever going to want to be pregnant again and I told him yes but it sucks at night.

Slide show from our San Diego, Disneyland, Cruise Trip

Crazy Fun Summer!!!

So this summer has been fun and full of things to do. It has been almost 2 months since I updated about what it going on so I am going to do one post. It may be a little long. Well since I last blogged we had a family reunion with the Mack's and it was really fun because it was the first time in about 8 years that me and my three other cousins that are born within 4 months of each other were together.

In august we had the Steadman family reunion which Wade's side of the family and we had a pinewood derby!! Sad news but I didn't win. The judges that came to judge our cars though did like mine the best they said. (At least that is what I think :) ) It was really fun.

The next week Trevor got married to Kari and it was a really fun day. It was long but really nice. They got married in the SLC temple and had a reception the Le Jardin.

After the wedding there was only 2 weeks left before we went on our big vacation!! We went on a cruise!! It was so much fun. We down own 4 days before the cruise with my family and went to San Diego and went to Sea World. I LOVED Sea World. It was so much fun!! Then we went to Disneyland because my mom and I were suppose to run the Disneyland half marathon. I unfortunately got pregnant and could run for two weeks because I was not feeling my best and pretty much stopped training until next year. So my mom ran and did a great job and I went and got my shirt that I paid for. We spent the rest of the day in Disneyland and had a great time. It is the most magical place on earth!!

Wade and I left on our cruise from San Diego the next day and had so much fun. We went to Cabo San Lucas and Ensanada. It was a five day cruise and way worth it. In Cabo we got off the boat and hug out at the beach and swam in the ocean. It was so warm and so fun!!! In Ensanada we went to La Bufadora which is a blowhole. On the way to the blowhole there were a lot of open shops!! I Love Shopping!! I bought the cutest purse!! I have posted a slideshow of pictures from the whole trip.

I also turned 20 weeks on the cruise.

I can't believe that I am halfway there. Well actually today I am 21 weeks so I am more then halfway. Things are going good and it is crazy watching my stomach get big. It is way weird.

We have had a great summer and arer really sad that it is over!! We are glad that we could get one more big trip in before the baby comes.

Ultrasound

So Wade and I just had our "first ultrasound". Well I am calling it our first because Wade was there and I was totally planning on it being the first, but when you work on Labor and Delivery and your Dr is always there and I can listen to my baby whenever I want I had a peak at about 10 weeks just because my dr came in with the ultrasound I couldn't say no. We are now 12 weeks and 5 days today!! It was fun seeing Pee Wee. That's our baby's name right now and until it is born because we aren't going to find out what it is. It is going to be a surprise!! So if I say he when I write about the baby it is because I call all babies that aren't born yet a he if I don't know what they are. Some patients (not all) will correct me if it is a girl. It's pretty funny because then I will still call it a he and have to correct myself and have to think really hard to say she. In the ultrasound Pee Wee was sleeping the majority of the time and the tech had to shake him to wake him up and get him in the position she needed him to be. So he did wake up for maybe 2 minutes so Wade could see how crazy it is when he moves because I can't feel a thing. It was so awesome and I will scan in a picture if I remember because it did take me a million years to even get some pictures on my blog!

I would also like to say farewell to Chel!! I was able to see her on Sunday and it was so much fun!! I am going to miss her but I hope she has so much fun on her new adventure in Washington!!

Seriously

So I really need to read my post before posting because seriously I look like I am illiterate. I promise I am not. I will now reread before I post.

TANK WARS!!!

Every year on the 4th and 24th of July Wade, his brothers and cousins have tanks wars!! They get the tanks at the fireworks stands and add many fireworks to them then they put them up against each other and whoevers tank is still going wins. This year was pretty funny. I couldn't tell you who the winner was this year because they all seem to just start on fire. You have to be careful though because you could have firecrackers flying toward you. It is really fun!! I even made one this year. My was't as extravagant as theirs but it was still fun.

Here they are getting the tanks ready

An example of what the tanks look like. I had to put in it is the one with the firework standing on top.
Tanks facing each other ready to take war!
As you can see they pretty much just start on fire but it is a blast!!
We actually did this on the 5th but on the 4th we had a fun filled day of the West Jordan Parade, a BBQ at Wade's parents then a BBQ at my parents the off to the Hick Parade!! The West Jordan Rodeo!! We loe the rodeo!! I especially love the muttin busters!! Our kid is totally doing that when they are old enough. I will talk them into it if they don't want to, but who wouldn't. I was bummed that we had to leave early because I had to be to work at 11pm. One bad thing about working in the hospital. It was great day!! I was pooped the next day from not sleeping for over 24 hours but it was okay!! Oh yah one other thing we did on the 4th was tell our family that we are pregnant!!!
